WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS

PRICES

Our standard charge is £350, which covers the choir and most music requests.  If you are looking for music that requires a lot of rehearsal time then we may have to charge a little more.  

Most churches will have a resident organist, but if necessary we can usually arrange an organist as well, at a cost of £60.

Other instrumentalists, like a trumpeter to sound the exit of the married couple, can often be arranged too.

We ask for a deposit of £50 once a booking is made and accepted by us.

AVAILABILITY

Please book well ahead, as we are dependent on the availability of our singers who sing on a voluntary basis – the fees go to boost our choir funds.

SOME MUSIC SUGGESTIONS

*   for the bridal entrance – Wagner’s ‘Here comes the bride’ or Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’

*   a wide selection of hymns, some with sung descants

*   as a blessing for the marriage – Rutter’s ‘The Lord bless you and keep you’ or ‘Gaelic Blessing’

*   during the signing ceremony – Bach’s ‘Jesu joy of man’s desiring’ and Rutter’s ‘For the beauty of the Earth’ or Lloyd Webber’s ‘Pie Jesu’

*   for the exit down the aisle – Purcell’s ‘Trumpet tune’ (on organ)

Pieces can be accompanied by organ or piano as the venue allows, or some can be sung without any accompaniment. We can sing as entertainment to guests as they arrive, we can sing an anthem during the ceremony like Parshall’s ‘A new commandment’… the possibilities are endless!  Please ask for our sheet of wedding music ideas, or feel free to make new suggestions.  The choice is yours but don’t let the occasion develop into a concert – it is important that the music accompanies the ceremony.
